Kumbakara falls
Kumbakara falls is one of the famous falls, two hour drive from madurai which is always battling summer, the sun peeps through the folinged arches of tamarind neem and Jamuna trees. Just 100km away is kumbakarai that lies at the end of a drive through horticulture farms. I can heard the sound of the gushing water in the foothills along kodaikanal and kumbakonam through which water flows like a song is one of the beauty.
I noticed painted boards announce 12km journey of the water that originates Kodaikanal hills as the pambar river.
There was a forest guest house and the forest guards office at the entrance boast colourful paintings of wildlife.
The department doesn't allows shops in the vicinity because the visitors leaves the place messy. While walking towards the waterfall we can hear the house of water and towards an murugan statue sits in a small rock.
The falls was a height of 50ft. We can feel the joy. We can find peace sitting by the stream. There is an observation tower across the streams that serves an Ideal spot to view the water spot.
TREKKING:. We can enjoy stunning uphill trek which takes us to kodaikanal in 9 to 12 hours. But Trekkers need permission from DFO kodaikanal following Theni forest fire so numbers of Trekkers has reduced.
